What is it all about?
Black Wolf Syndicate will be returning to Austria for another blast of our annual Official Wörthersee Driving Tour.
Our event is a 2000+ mile, 10-day road tour driving from the UK to Austria and back, staying in only the finest hotels & chalets along the way. Whilst our main destination is Lake Wörthersee in the province of Carinthia, we’ll be visiting some iconic roads, race tracks and hotspots that will have any petrol head or car enthusiast in total heaven.
The Wörthersee Treffen GTI meeting is an annual car event like nothing else you’ve ever seen. Something that began 38 years ago in 1982 as a small gathering of VW Golf GTI’s at a hotel in Austria, has flourished into a week-long event that encompasses cars, new and old, from right across the VAG range. Now with over 100,000 visitors attending each year as a regular occurrence, it has become a simple ‘MUST’ for the true enthusiast’s calendar.
The official Volkswagen-backed part of the festival is a small array of cars on the luscious greens of a picturesque shore at Lake Wörthersee. But of course, that is only the beginning of a fantastically weird and wonderful vehicle array that can be found. The surrounding streets and fields on the local area are drowning in endless swarms of cars. All tastes are catered for from mildly mapped to ludicrously loud. Trashy toys to sublime show pieces. Whilst sound systems, roaring exhausts and perfect paint are guaranteed upon arrival, let’s not forget the wide variety of people too. Just about enough to have EVERYONE covered.
Departing from Dover, we head through France to Germany, then on to Austria to Faak-am-see, Veld-am-see, and Lake Wörthersee, indulging in the experience of the GTI Treffen show, which is the main event of the tour. We’ll also make our way to the Großglocknerstraße, the highest altitude road in all of Austria with a stretch of no less than 36 hairpin turns, and the Radstädter Tauern Pass, a beautiful high elevation road through the mountains of Salzburg. There will also be visits to the Porsche & Mercedes-Benz Museums individually and the infamous Nürburgring race track, where you can test your skills at racing the world-renowned circuit, if you choose.
We plan numerous stops for you to take some insanely beautiful photos, from the very best points in the trip and you’ll have opportunities to explore in your own free time, giving you every chance to enjoy each step of your memorable journey. Stunning green forests, and snow-capped mountain ranges make for unbelievable views throughout your voyage to one of Europe's largest and warmest Alpine lakes. We’re already dreaming of that Mediterranean climate on a late spring evening and we can’t wait to share that experience with you!

Top Tips!
We recommend booking an extra day off either side of your trip so you can clear up any loose ends necessary before you travel, then enjoy some rest whilst relishing in the memories after your tour.
Remember to work out your spending money on fuel, food, fun things and any items you’ll want to buy then allow a little buffer on top for safety.
Don’t forget to allow for European Roadside Assistance breakdown cover (most UK companies cover that anyway but be sure to check you have this).
FAQ.
>Rooms are split in either double bed, twin bed, or multiple shared accommodation situations. We will discuss this with you when confirming your booking so you can request an appropriate scenario.
>You are welcome to travel alone in your vehicle if you wish but the full amount for the vehicle and both slots are still required for payment. We do strongly recommend having an accomplice. It’s way more fun anyway.
>There is a maximum limit of 2 people per vehicle.
>If your name is on the booking slot, you are the person accountable for paying the full amount when necessary, as described in our terms, conditions & indemnity document.
>Payment can be made in full through one transaction or in 3 instalments.
>Free cancellations are available up to 12 weeks before travel. There will be a small fee to cover deposits after this point. This in inflicted by the accommodation vendors so it is out of our control, although we will always do our best to make sure you get the best scenario available at any time. Your customer experience is our main focus.
>Spaces are simply sold on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and a 50% deposit will secure your spot on the tour with remaining instalments to be paid at regular intervals thereafter, as described in the T&C’s.
>Any remaining balance is due in full by the 7th of March 2021, without exception.

*There is a maximum limit of 2 people per vehicle on this tour. The cost is per vehicle, so even if you travel alone, you will still incur the full amount of £1289 per vehicle to be paid, but by sharing the costs with a friend, you can reduce the payments to £644.50 per person. Plus your spending money and optional extras of course.
** Very small engine and very low power cars are NOT RECOMMENDED as you will be required, at some points, to maintain motorway speeds for an extended period of time, baring in mind that your car will be loaded with you, your passenger, and both of your belongings for a 10 day holiday. Although we will maintain a convoy wherever possible, no one wants to feel left out or left behind so please get in touch if you have any concerns regarding your vehicle. One of our team will be on hand to help you.
